Post-convocation Trips Pt 3: The remaining days before flying home

Image
*Well, I thank you for reading the 1st part and the 2nd one :D* With Times Square (the mall) located just at the corner from the hotel we stayed in Bukit Bintang, my mom and I ended up going there three times throughout our two days staying at Bukit Bintang. Christmas vibe inside the mall. First hunt upon entering the mall would be FOOD. And the Taste of Asia Food Court on the basement floor was our first choice. They are currently using a card system for payment of foods and beverages at the food court. Upon purchases, you can then return the card for the balance refund. Btw, the lady at the card kiosk was a real pain in the ass.  My pick: Korean Food! My Kimchi Ramyun. Nothing special with it. And.... I don't know what the other two are.  After filling up the stomach, we made an exploration and went to every nook and corner of the mall to search for the best bargains :D A visit to Starbucks is a must. Also, it was an effort in collecting the 15 beverages to redeem the 2013...

Post-convocation Trips Pt 2: Cube Hotel, Bukit Bintang

Image
* Continuation of Pt 1 * After three nights spent at Shah Alam, it was time for us to check out of the hotel, got in a taxi and headed to KL. There, we stayed at  Cube Boutique Hotel at Bukit Bintang.  The hotel is situated right in front of the KL Police Contingent Headquarters, Jalan Pudu. It is in a building or block along with few other budget inns but from the look of it, Cube Hotel has to be the most appealing and reliable place to stay if you ask me ;) The hotel has won 2012 Traveller's Choice Award on TripAdvisor . Into the hallway. Our room. A room for family of four, with two queen-sized beds. I forgot to take a photo of the beds before crashing onto one. So here it is; taken from the brochure, haha :D And what's inside the room. The total cost for a family bedroom for four of us for two nights was RM440. The room is small and without a window, but nothing to be complained about, looking at the rate. The hotel does not provide breakfast, but they provide facili...

Post-convocation Trips Pt 1: Sunway Pyramid & i-City

*One-week overdue. Sigh T_T* Searching for a hotel or inn with a tight budget is really not fun. That was the case when I was looking for one around Shah Alam; near UiTM to be exact, for my convocation event. Nevertheless, it was a relief to find a decent place to stay for my family and I. So we stayed at  1st Inn Hotel  at Seksyen 7 Shah Alam, which is 5 to 10 minute drive from UiTM Shah Alam. The rate for a room for two was RM88; with personal bathroom, TV and WiFi. Sorry, I forgot to capture the room on camera. Too tired upon the KK-KL flight and the LCCT-Shah Alam taxi ride 0_0 After the convocation, we went to Sunway Pyramid because I missed the place a lot. But nothing fascinated me like I thought it would. Well, maybe just the Christmas decorations... ...and food! On the following day, before we checked out of the hotel, we made a trip with our chartered car to i-City Shah Alam. The parking fee was RM10, with additional painful search for a vacant parking sp...
